Last Days

When will we see last days
Famine of the word of God
While as in the time of Jesus
Worried more about bread to eat
Then the spirit which comes to defeat
Drought of the living water
Leaving the tounges stuck to roof
Earthquakes in the soul
That shakes with might
Stars of false gods are revealed
And held captive below
Delusions sent to those
Which seek for self praise
Your not gonna get understanding
Admiring and listening to man
It's in His word but is foolish to man
Only through the spirit
Why do so many seek
For all God's word to be fulfilled
For this world to be destroyed
It's within us which needs destroyed
Before we wish to send judgement
The main goal should be to die daily
To separate from this foolish world
But for many it's in blindness
For this is there upbringing
Duck sees duck do what duck does
The main fulfilled scripture should be
When Christ spirit can now dwell within
What fear is it of what happens
to God's footstool if you have
A seal placed within to escape
Seek to become less each day
That Christ might reign within
This world tries to shut it out
After Pentacost and Lazarus
This world tried to destroy all evidence
Which would lead to God instead of them
For they love feeling mighty and
Receiving wealth of this earth
For they still live in first birth
God is in control of all
I would seek to be on His side
Don't trust man to tell you what's happening
Call out to Jesus for most will have to
Get to that broken point when
All else has failed miserably
Then one will seek to be pulled away
From all the things the world loves
To stay humble and resisting pride
Staying calm, Peaceful, Joyful ,Loving
To be a light before our last day
God was patient with Noah to finish his ark
Be thankful God is patient to
Pull one out the dark

Stephan, wonderful writing, your poem is powerful with anger and hopelessness! I feel that way often too. Let God be your rock and anchor, let him hold your hand when you are afraid, and broken, each day proclaim your faith and dedication, seek the shelter of his wings and as you write in your poem, "Stay... calm, Peaceful, Joyful, Loving- To be a light before our last day, Constance

As long as we love the world above everything, we cannot love God and his teachings ! The Physical man has to die to become a spiritual man. The last days are drawing near. With a contrite heart we can turn to God and try to live in His grace. Much wisdom in these lines, Stephan.
