Last Breath

let yours be the name
silently breathed
from sleeping lips
the last & lasting sigh
in tired escape,
in passion,in trust
some unbroken promise
the vow least brittle
a single word unshattered;
huddled onto it's self
amongst the jagged,
blood-tipped shards
