Two lifetimes ago,
a river of stars flowed, the
Scorpion’s heart a vibrant
crimson, the flame of heaven.
And like a scorpion did I
fall, lips glossy with
hemlock, tender with swallowed
rose thorns.
One lifetime ago,
smoke smothered the sky,
hail of fire and melting
bronze, 110 chaotic stars in
destiny’s array. Rolling
four, gambling life,
death by ivory spears,
general to common corpse.
Presently,
dreams of forgotten pasts
haunt bloodthirsty dawn,
words lost and jumbled:
tenuo to ten to thiên,
facio to facet to ph?t.
Three confined souls,
a braid of ivy tongues.
