A red rose in her hand and glow in her eye she was the magic in my every dream So very perfect, so damn pretty I could cry if together, wading our love's stream. Truth was, so scared was this brave knight fear of losing what I did not yet hold Almost lost her being too scared of her light just like a small child, seven years old. Next our eyes locked and that smile she threw there were love words unspoken sent Life had been so boring but now all was so new if only a first date she would consent. As I imagined a life we could someday enjoy she slowly rose walking on over to me Saying, you look so lost, like a sad lonely boy there my heart says, stands a lone tree.
