Land of Fairies

I've heard tales of a place of joy and splendor

Where the waves whisper in your ears

And offer there sweet surrender

I’ve listened to legends from legendary lands

Of which, not too many know

Where lilies and lilac are always in bloom,

Land where clouds of lavender glow

I have heard myths of this mystical mountain

Where sunsets sail across the skies

A place of endless horizons

A land where rose petals fly

I’ve heard of this wondrous world

Where sorrows and worries, they cease

A place where the moon always kisses the clouds

Where lily pads drift upon seas.

I’ve heard stories of a perfect paradise

Beautiful beyond belief, to go to this place

Close your eyes and sleep

And dream sweet dreams in the land of fairies

Sometimes we need that dream place to help cope. I was a Peter Pan fan and here I am in my sixties and my wife asks when are you going to grow up and I reply never, I hope. Good write. Vince
