Laden In White
thoughts
spiraling
like this snow
in the lash
of december's
bitter breath
downcast eyes
watching
the leaves
gathered
at your grave
laden in white
as they admit
defeat
i struggle
to breathe
in this air
as it kisses
back
with
death's lips
knocked
on my knees
oppressed
memories
waft
in the swells
of eyes
as i lay
a wreath
of emotions
by your side
i sidle
glancing back
as i leave
my only
christmas
spirit
behind
