Really really good Chris, you should do more songs you are a great songwriter, really pulls at the heartstrings, will be tough to beat this one!

WoW! Chris, This is so good and well written. I loved everything about this piece from start to finish. It was the perfect lyric/song.They lyrics were nostalgic and sentimental.I am literally blown away by this piece. I can tell you are a song writer from this write. I've never met any of my biological grandfathers. But I had a step grandfather that loved me so. And father was dear to me. I think you just secured a spot at the top with this write. I wish you the best of luck in the contest.

I always wished to know my grandma from mama's side..She died before I was born...I really wish I had known her...I was so scared abput dad dying few months ago...Thank God He didnt..but I m so scared when that time comes and I might have to say goodbye...This is heartwrenchingly sad and profound..Misted my eyes..I can feel 'you'..On the other hand its important not to loose the ones we love ..To show them we love them whilst wecan..Fantastic lyric song..Loved it.

I never knew either of my grandfathers and only knew my grandmother on my father's side. She passed many years ago. I lost my father about 3 years ago and it was a sad time. Thanks so very much my sweet friend for your always kind words to me.

This really touched me on a deeply personal level. It's always painful to say good-bye to someone you love so dearly. Poetry and music should produce emotion in the reader/listener. You've done that beautifully, Chris.
