Killing the Scream

He ran over a cat, the car killed it - sees it, unmoving through his rear-view mirror. He wants to apologies, but to whom? Finding an empty box in his mind, he screams “sorry” into that, yet knowing for certain, that when night prowls, a car locked in a dark garage, will still hear that scream, as he dreams.
