Love it and the picture. Reminds me of Eddie Rabbitt - Rocky Mountain Music 1977. I was 22 yrs old. Your picture also reminds me of the creek out behind the property I live on. It floods almost every year. Not this year, there is a drought in calf. this year :)

This is quite evocative work! I didn't know you had been to Kentucky. I like to watch the Derby on TV and always like to hear the band play "My Old Kentucky Home". Peace & Love Matthew Anish

Matt, am here this very moment. At my in-laws!! (my preferred song as a child was "Sleep Kentucky Babe")

I am all for the lush tranquilness. But being from Minnesota, all I see is humidity and mosquito's. How's that for being a Dougy downer. :) All that aside, I did a lot of growing up on those backroads.

As certain as the road that led you to vast green views, this haiku speaks of nature's beauty, unadorned and comforting. Blessings, Andie!
