Eileen has nicknamed me Kenny Because of my resemblance to Mr. Rogers Wish I had his piles of dough though I'd sure be a happy old codger Methinks she means before his facelift At least that's what I hope she meant It made him look like a real different person Not as charming in any event So I'll take it that's what she really meant When Kenny was young and virile Instead of this ageing singer of songs Fame can be fleeting and so fragile Mr. Rogers can still belt out a love song With than familiar rasp in his voice For over four decades he been charming us Was everyone's favourite choice So I really don't mind the nickname Kenny A compliment is how I take it Eileen could have nicknamed me Bela As Dracula I never would have made it © Jack Ellison 2013

Oh Kenny.....Ha Ha....It was surely meant as a compliment....Love Rogers...His voice....his white hair....the romance.....Amazing....Face lift or not this 46 year old woman thinks he is awesome....So r u, my dear...SO R U KENNY....You warble differently...through your poetry...and you have ardent fans too....So...live up...Listen to We've Got Tonight....He sings it with Sheena Easton...Tell me...is there anything as beautiful as that...I sing that song between classes....Love ya...Kenny!!

Watch out Jack! She might be naming you after the cartoon South Park where Kenny gets killed in every episode... Dragon says not to worry he'll fly up there and save your bacon... He loves bacon for breakfast you know!... LOL.. He'd save you too, but that usually involves you running from his fire somewhere along the way... But if you're interested I'll send my fire retardant suit with him! Just say the word and we'll release your hero... THE MIGHTY DRAGON!... Thought you'd love that one... LOL

Ha ha, Bela, I guess you could have been Bela but I doubt you would have made it as Dracula either! I like your nickname Kenny, I think I'll start calling you that if you don't mind, it's a very fitting nickname! I have always seen Kenny Rogers as being a kind hearted man with a huge heart for others, one who like to stay at home with his family whenever he got a chance to! I can see you being that way too Jack! This is a spectacular poem, what a grandiose piece, Great Work!!
