Keeping Alive
Keeping Alive
Rock music plays
On the radio
Listen with tears
As I drive the road
Remember her ways
How she danced
Oh, if but I
One more chance
The boots I wear
Truck I drive
Keeping mom alive
Another day gone
Headed home
How else to feel
But so alone
Open the good book
She taught me to read
Her voice telling me
Always let Him lead
The boots I wear
Truck I drive
Keeping her alive
This is not my coat
Nor this my glove
But a woman's I loved
These are not my boots
Nor was this my car
And this is not my guitar
Her silent guitar
New morning arrives
I'm feeling the low
Start with the good book
In which I know
With each page I turn
Promise of a new dawn
The word of our God
Carrying on
Its not my coat
Nor my gloves
A woman's greatly loved
Now they're my boots
And this is now my care
But this is still her guitar
Her sleeping guitar
The boots I wear
Truck I drive
Mom, miss you alive
