Keep on believing


When I think back... 
on my life so far,
the good and bad  
have shared equal time

Though ups and downs...
have been hard to face,
believing kept my faith alive


Chorus
So, keep on believing...
this evil world,
will try to break you down
So, keep on believing...
the waters may surround you, 
but you won't drown
So, keep on believing...
only faith can keep you,
anchored to solid ground


You may have tried...
foolish things,
to help to ease the pain,
to quell the deep fears inside

but, this old world...
will soon pass away,
only faith leads to eternal life

Not only have you delivered a message that I've written poems about, too, you wrote it as a song and I heard that song. I heard a chorus singing it and I felt each listener rise from mundane to be centered in faith. Did you mean to type, "and obey him him?" I'm thinking the keyboard got you, that you didn't intend to type 'him' twice. This is special, delicate and powerful, both. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
