Hawaiian salt massaged pork 
drawn from an "imu"--
a hot rocks pit ere covered.
Succulent pulled-pork
tenderly yielding
juice-dribbling
bliss.

Besides looking out after them, writing's the best therapy for me, which suits me just fine, though it burns the midnight oil sometimes. I mostly grew up in Kalapana, a country seaside village, and a quarter of my inheritance was covered by lava in 1990, including the house I grew up in till we moved to the states. I'm the last of my family and caretaker of their graves on the hill above the town, which inspired my return. Getting flowers for mom's birthday tomorrow. Blessings and Aloha~William
