Kaleidoscope
In this life you will sometimes find
Beautiful images,colors cascading
But through the kaleidoscope of your mind
You surely might be masquerading
You know it's done with smoke and a mirror
And though you are sketched in candlelight
Just try to see a little bit clearer
This time you must try to put up the good fight
For the mind is intrinsically not to be wasted
Torn all apart or turned into stone
Those kaleidoscope eyes should recall what you've tasted
Not feel disappointment in every bone
So pull yourself up and strike up the band
You can't wallow round in the darkness again
Just let someone stronger reach out for your hand
A comforting shoulder will help ease your pain
When you get down so low you think there's no up
Your minds eye sees nothing but patches of gray
But let it all flow from your loving cup
Allow tides of change to wash over you today
Show yourself mercy and let your mind heal
Paint splashes of bright colors into your soul
Gaze through that kaleidoscope and soon you'll feel
You've dug yourself up and right out of that hole
