Just Us

As stardust piles upon my sill, and memories seem devoid of laughter, I shall drown in the abbreviation that one day... you could be mine again. For there is blame in a chance not taken, no shame in a moment not given. Simple notes of love passed between two lovers, solace is only for the lonely. So next time you feel you need to starve yourself from the nutrients you need the most, remember our picnic last October; an afternoon spent along the tidal shore- just us... being us without a care in the world, nor a reason to frown. Just the slightest initiation of your pale skin against mine is enough to fight off any fallacy we may encounter. Like dew drops on a rose, you quench me, like a pebbles along the tidal shore, you surface me. Like the grains in an hourglass, you sooth me, like a warm blanket in Winter, you bring me comfort. I breathe in repose just to sense your beauty. For I will always be your messy stockpile of leaves to clean up, and you will always be my angel in the snow.
