Just Think of It

  I can talk to my brother 10,000 miles away
    Make conference calls from Beijing to Monterrey

  Warm up my car from the comfort of home
    Attend a ballgame in the rain under a dome

  Manage a company while on perpetual vacation
    Buy a new car with no sales negotiation

  Design a skyscraper with a few clicks here and there
    If a doctor, perform surgery remotely from anywhere  

  So, why can’t I just eat right and lose weight
    I guess it’s ‘cos home-cooked food tastes so great

Love that final couplet, my friend. It's a hard battle to win. I thought I had it beat ... Lost 90 lbs and kept it off for 15 years, then covid appeared and somehow, I find myself with an extra 40 lbs now. Here I go again, this time it will be much harder to win at 79. I enjoyed your poetry today. Write On! Bill

90 lbs! 15 years! I am in awe. How'd you do it, man?... Of course, you are right. At 79 it'll be tough, real tough. Aren't I encouraging? lol. At 73, I've about given up trying to take it off again. Covid time was + 35 lbs for me. And I just can't seem to lose even one of them. Oh, well. Good luck!!
