Notes About The Poem

Just See
in autumn’s ambiance, a stillness, blessing
away the music of summer’s sun
the restless wind and her leaves who dance
a waltz undone, between summer and autumn
a beautiful breath of what healing is intended to be
healing of a spirit and healing of a moment
between day and night, shadow and light
the wonder of two hearts who’ve consumed
a song that bleeds hope into old wounds
in autumn’s revelation, a miracle, a story
trembling, echoing, through September
silently revealing what is meant to bring peace
and what is serenity unfolding
on the prayers of yesterday’s memories
a still, fragile grace that colors dreams in melancholy
while holding the spirit in arms of curiosity,
sensing the presence of a glorious note
playing out a rhythm of heartbeats
awaking feelings who do more than believe
in autumn’s gaze, admiring
believing, blessing away the tears
as rain recalls what it is to convince
a lifeless ache – the beauty that fades
into winter, sometimes bitter
but always a cherished moment
caught between a heartfelt prayer
and the promise of light, in each snowflake,
a risk we all take… floating on the edge of peace,
the music of wonderland weeping
over the prayers that we speak, keep seeking
the grace between here and eternity.
that, my friend, is the heavy weight
mystery of hope that sees
despite the shadows and deceit,
the beautiful in each breathless leaf,
each harvest speech, the hesitant beauty
of a gentle rain, lamenting
dripping with firefly dreams
and the stories of poetry built by pens
who will never see
beyond the worn words of yesterday
when Autumn wrote her dreams
on the silence and sent letters of belief
to the stars, to the skies, to the seas
but it was only yesterday’s need
to see the road between here and eternity
it only takes one word from those who seek
to reach beyond the aching grief
autumn’s soundless seed, planted in souls
those who see… just see
