Just Like Them

When one is offended by a mere word When one aggravates themselves with such little things I feel the urge to slap them into reality But lately I have become a hypocrite When one complains about their life When one stays quiet when they should reveal they’re wrong I glare and sneer at them Because I am just like them This rubbish known as uniqueness is killing me You haven’t told me anything That I didn’t already see That I didn’t already know You took that from her! You took that from him! God knows you took that from me

I left your brother another comment on his last post. I don't know if you can make sure he sees it. He has made an impression on me as have you. I hope you can let the inner radiance of both your hearts be set free. I always consider your poetry literally and allegorically together. You brew up wonderful words, songs and meanings always!

We all have a tendency to try to protect ourselves from feeling inadequate. There are many flavors of defense mechanisms. I personally like to employ "compensation". So, I ask myself why is the poet LB being so hard on herself for this shared human tendency that is absolutely normal? By the way, you are completely unique where it counts. Sharing some things is OK. As an actor once said, "Welcome to the party!" I do so enjoy your work. It is a pleasure to interact with you, my dear!

We are all using a little bit of everything around us. It is human nature to take what is easy. Not always honorable but easy. And for those that are lazy time will tell. stick to you guns Laura. you are a fine poet. No on can take that away from you. Kilmer
