Just Give Your Word
A centurion was concerned for a slave
who fell so sick he was near to the grave.
Jewish elders he sent
so that they might present
the case for Jesus to come and to save.
So Jesus set out to meet their request
but word was sent to Jesus addressed
“I hardly am worthy
of your grace and mercy.
Just give your word and my slave will be blessed.”
When Jesus heard this he was moved to declare
“I've not found such faith in Israel to compare.”
When the elders returned
they found it confirmed
the slave had been healed in answer to prayer.
