Just Desserts

Soup, salad – appetizers
  Cookies, cake – desserts

Appetizers to whet our appetites
   Desserts to satisfy them

But what if we served desserts first
After the entrée, would we still
    have room for appetizers…

Dispense with the appetizers
  There’s always room for desserts

I always eat dessert first in case I die in the middle of a meal. I am old.

Some of us are ruminants; There's always more room in the pants. We eat and eat until it hurts, But find more room when comes dessert.

I'll have to ruminate over this one, Jeff -- right after I salivate. ~ Jubilate, Gershon

Good one, gw. I certainly agree with the last couplet. Give me the dessert any day.

And, if there's any left, I'll gladly take that last piece home with me.
