Just a Little Bit of Sugar

Just a little bit of sugar After a day's hard work tranquil in twilight's halt, Blood burns in success and sweat tastes of salt, Just a little bit of sugar is all what you want. Tough times in life when soaked in strife, Sun shimmers at its peak no rain of relief in sight, Just a little bit of sigh is all that you want. Dark veils of gloom in bouts of depression, When cloud the mind sky and zero down expression, Just a little bit of light is all what you want. Written Feb 26th, 2017 For contest by Debbie

There is a subtle sadness in this poem, Doc. You seem a little down. Hoping you are well. Good luck!
