Just a Little Bit of Sugar
While going through the candy aisle with the delectable smells,
I also stopped in the toothpaste area for some orajel,
my back tooth throbbing from having another cavity,
I didn't realize the extent of the problem or the gravity,
Seeing my dentist for my appointment the next day,
he examined my toothless mouth in the usual way,
explaining that my remaining tooth had to be extracted,
I sat there pondering about how the tooth got impacted,
Then my dentist warned me about eating too many sweets,
he said its why so many people come to him for relief,
saying just a little bit of sugar is alright now and then,
while I sat there thinking of my stash of milky ways and m&m's.
