Junk In My Head
There is junk in my head
Will not leave me alone
Clinking and clanging
Trying to be a yesterday's poem
There is stuff whirling around
Making me ponder and posh
Adding extra confusion
Some stuff going slosh
There are ideas and things
I am not grasping at all
I try in vain to stop them
But they are several feet tall
I cannot get in touch with my dendrites
The ones that connect
The junk is not letting me think
I am on flat-out "what the heck?"
There is clinking and clanging
There are things I probably should know
There is blinking and banging.
It is a "what is going on?" show
So today I may just take
A well deserved nap or a break.
For the ideas are crazy and illusive
So what kind of poem would they make?
