Jump With Me

Are you sure you still want to do it?
We can back out if you want to
just say the word
I know you’re scared, so am I
please tell me you’re having second thoughts
please tell me, we don’t have to go through with it…

Maybe they’ll let us stay together if they see
how much we love each other
we don’t have to do this…
Is there any guarantee we’ll be together in the afterlife?
Only one way to find out he said…
“I’ll count to three and then we’ll jump together,
hold on tightly” he yelled, it sounded more like a whisper
as the wind was swirling and almost threw me off balance…

This is so much fun to read! Can't help but feel that thrill of jumping & I really enjoyed how this can be a metaphor as well--I can totally feel that anticipation & hesitation over jumping--very nice! p.d.'s right--that would be cute if this was about an elderly couple bungee jumping maybe? or skydiving!! see you around, Wilma :) --nikko

Lovely, ,,, but hey I know the jump must of symbolized something cause jumping to see if they will be together in the after life is over the top lol they must be really sure of the love they have... hopefully it's not a young couple they still have a lot to explore but an elder couple would be kind of cute, so much love, enjoyed your write....P.D.
