July Etheree Form Poetry Contest

In Kerala, it being monsoon time, there are heavy rains and flood

Rain pours down cats and dogs, leaving puddles. Water flows down through canals, drains and ditches Sky, overcast with dark clouds, signals a torrential downpour. Nature's fury, unleashed in full force. Lands being inundated fast, men flee.

Dearest Valsa, your vivid poetic pen spills amazing imagery of July's monsoon time in Kerala. Indeed, Nature knows how to unleash her fury and you capture the intensity of the rain with vibrant finesse. Congratulations for your wonderful win in Andrea's contest. Warmest wishes, my sweet friend.. ~Susan

I can see the scene from scenes I have seen on TV here of late. So sad to see loss of life in some of the downpours of late. Thanks for sharing this one. I guess it is for a contest and it reads like a good contender to me. Way to go. Your visits to my page are always encouraging. Sara

Oh, we pray for rain, and then pray for God's mercy to make them stop sometimes. Floods are horrible things dear Valsa, this is a powerful poem, very descriptive!

Monsoon downpours are relentless sometimes. Takes all the fun of sailing paper boats. Hope floods don't affect you.
