Joys of Spring

my five year old coloured a picture of spring, on a Sunday morning with her new Crayon, our big oak tree stood out with its wooden swing, blue sky and green lawns featured in her icon, daffodils along eastern side of building, a few songbirds in white and red on the lawn, to show off colours she put in a rainbow, had both ends touching lawn, was sketched in so low! She held it up for us to see and compare, with that of nature’s spring as best as we can, her grandma looked at it, an astonished stare, “looks a photograph, am already your fan!” happy grandpa too, walked up from his chair, he squinted his eyes and said “ agree with nan” approbations made her a Rembrandt reborn, in season of happiness, glorious morn!

Wonderful story, Krish, on so many levels. Not only the birth of spring but the metaphor of the birth of art and an artist. Congratulations on your win! All the best for a new spring!

Lovely piece, Krish. I admire the way you described Joys of Spring from the eyes of your little daughter.

Thanks Malabika! I felt most describe spring itself, but not the family joys it brings! :) Appreciate you stopping by.

Ah, a Rembrandt reborn! Glorious line there, Krish! -- As long as she doesn't ever start smoking 'Dutch Masters' cigars! :) gw

Thanks Gershon, yes true and also Rembrandt died very poor and paid his room rent with his paintings. His landlord kept him poor and made all the money! another tragedy behind the great master! I was in Amsterdam and went to see his work and place.

Wonderful write Krish, your write is different from others, reminded me of my son showing everything to Patti and she would praise. He would become happy. Kids small happy at small joys of life. Lot we can learn from them. Take care. Isolation over? Enjoy your day, Rama

Thanks Rama. Spring is not about plants. It is what it does to us! Yes. children love to do that at that age and grandparents pamper them!! My mum too with my children. Isolation done. back to work from Monday but as and when needed.
