Joyful Ride

Dusty dirt seen in the rearview mirror
flying high as the view of the town starts
to slowly scatter.

I'm all dressed in your favorite loose lace
and lavender, tonight you are all mine, and
for now that is all that matters.

For these moments, I would from our busy
life beg, steal and borrow.

Just to be with you now in this moment,
with no thoughts of tomorrow.

Full moon glowing over the horizon's haze,
every thing is so perfect and right.

It is just us in our own happy gaze,
on this unpredictable ride into midnight.

Snuggled up so close to your side,
as little smiles and laughter are shared on
this joyful ride.

As our soul's begin to peek,
there is nothing like the feeling of placing
gentle kisses on your handsome cheek.

You paint a picture with words that bring your experiences alive in the reader's mind. This poem was innovative, captivating, and three dimensional in character. An inward journey filled with thoughts designed to inspire the heart. Emile. #7

I think Webster should include this under its definition of Love. Well done Sharon
