Joy From Sorrow How I Feel Today Contest

JOY FROM SORROW Pesach Puzzle

Flirty Joy has burst a jagged crack
                             Light's last fading had begun
                             All sorrow’s disappointments trembled back
To catch the ray beyond the sun—

How dare I pine and self destruct
When blessings fall upon my step
                             This foolish self indulgent slump
Has made my life a weary wreck--

Was it the ancient Pesach Gift?
                             Scant candles flickered hope’s delight
                             Menorah slipshod shaped this year
                             Defied grim thoughts--consumed my fright--

No family gathered with me here
No Seder shared with trusty friends
But power of the Light burned free--
                             Gutted darkness end to end.

Sensational, Victoria. We have all been caught up in the darkness only to finally come out (sometimes we go back). It's reassuring to know on those days that I've been there before.
