Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,”
Joy trembles beneath the current,
Rivers of hope, faith and love
Silently swimming through the blood
That saved me from sin, from pain, from an end,
Without grace who changed me
From dark to light, from wrong to right,
With a gentle touch from the hand
Who created me, forgave me, remade me…
Joy lingers on my spirit, murmuring,
Light through each smile, each feeling
Enchanting music, a melody
Playing hesitantly with sincerity,
Songs who bless, encourage, support
Embrace my soul with a soothing
Pouring over my life in faintest exposes,
Stories and poems, written on hearts
Who know the joy…
Joy unbroken, unspoken
Portraying the attention of Him
Who sees my fears, my tears, all I’ve been
And still offers me His gentle, His tender,
His unending comforting, blessings
Throughout eternity, a knowing
That whatever I face, whatever challenges
I can embrace the truth of Him, who is
Forever my light, my promise, my hope
The knowing, the insight, the surety
That forever will be filled with
JOY – trembling quietly on my lips….
Joy that reads my heart and sees
Beyond the darkness, beyond the doubt
Into the music that plays softly,
Gentling my dreams, soothing my faith,
Remembering that He is with me,
Whatever I might face,
He is the One who knows me,
Better than I know myself
And, whatever comes to me,
He remains my greatest blessing,
The reason I can say – deep down
Inside my soul, where only He can see…
I find the JOY that lifts me,
Helping me to always be me!
Praying I’ll always show the light
That encourages me through the night,
The grace that won’t subside,
Even when I feel lonely and denied,
The JOY that won’t escape my soul,
Because it is filled with LOVE
That God Himself has stirred,
Causing me to know what it is
To feel loved even when my heart mourns!
