Journeying

By your side I choose to travel Yet this trip I do solo To the depths of a secret pool I dive and must explore alone Such depths far from barren Things recovered are hard to explain Like living pearls from the sea Preciously brought back Barely seedlings needing care Please understand when I tell you I nurture them in my heart Till they take root and Slowly grow as flowers in a garden It’s still early spring but I look forward to the day You will notice it beyond the fence And want to be invited To walk through my inner garden As you trod along your own journey AP: 3rd place 2020 Submitted on March 12, 2018

Line: I'm not one to Kibitz but I might have used "nurture" where harvest is? I know, write your own. :o( This is a lovely piece and I appreciate your sharing it with all of us on the soup. Keep them coming. oldbuck

A journey within as you say one only you can do. The inner sanctuary, it is indeed a beautiful place. Yes , your garden is blooming. Very thought provoking line. .

What a lovely write, Line, and I do like the opening lines, slightly contradicting and posing questions, where? why? A thoughtful, and hopeful, piece. Viv x
