Encased in mind-body cage,
we know not life’s but a stage.
We seek joy in permanence
but ego scars innocence.
Hypnotised by illusions,
in bondage to delusions,
succumbing to ego ruse,
myriad desires bemuse.
Upon reaching exhaustion,
thought rested’s meditation.
In perfect tranquil stillness,
we entwine with That oneness.
Ceasing to size, vaporise.
We feel magnetic heat rise.
Soma flows, our soul’s aglow;
once again, our heart’s mellow.
Joy cascades by day and night.
Heightened is childlike delight.
Bliss replete, we feel complete,
surrendered thus, at God’s feet.
