Jesus, Author of My Faith
"Carry your cross and come, follow Me"
Were the very words of our LORD.
He alone gives me true victory
And His Presence is my Reward.
His words are life, my daily bread
That nourished this finite soul,
I set my mind on what Jesus said
For His Spirit makes me whole.
He's my Shepherd, I hear His voice,
His Spirit guides all my ways,
Leads me on, so I've made the choice
To fix my eyes on Him always.
Jesus, only Author of my faith,
The One Who will truly finish
What God began in His power so great,
Jesus will complete, I will not perish!
So follow Him, all believers-
He is Faithful and True, so Worthy!
He promised to leave us never
He lives in us eternally!
