Jealous of a Morning Walk

jealous of a morning walk pleasantries underneath sun- rise and set jealous of painlessness yet muscle ache oh i’d take jealous of going, going, gone out all day pulling my weight jealous of watching so effortlessly the jaunt of travelers jealous for the blessings given for all these years I’ll hope for fix so others jealously will watch me effortlessly with my slow gait i’d settle for mostly pain free i’d jump for joy but carefully

Good story telling here, and a good showing of emotion. I like the sense of optimism at the end. My heart goes out to you.

Oh, Kim--I'm so sorry. I know what you mean by jealous. I'm not in constant pain, but my hands barely work now. I see the youth doing things so effortlessly and I wish I could do it all over again... Best hopes for you, Dear Kim.

Hi Kim, sorry to know that you have aches in your body. Once I was bed ridden with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I used to grow jealous of people going for morning walks or children running around. By God's grace, I am almost cured of all aches. Now I can walk and move about without any pain. Hope healing will soon come to you too. My Prayers!

I'm so sorry you're in pain. :( Hope you feel better, I just sent a prayer your way ... "i’d jump for joy but carefully" no way you would take it for granted then! <3 xxoo

Dear Kim,your poem is quietly powerful—a tender, honest expression of longing wrapped in vulnerability and resilience. The repetition of “jealous of” and “jealous for” beautifully captures the ache of missing what once was or what might never have been, while also planting seeds of hope....Hugs

Dear Kim, this poem is so real! I love how you're being super honest about feeling jealous of people who seem to have it easier, whether it's their morning walks or their ability to go about their day without pain. Love it! Nicely penned! Best, Anne
