Jazz

Drummers are no paradigm you know Sometimes changing 4 to 2 time like poet's words, whether free or rhyme, can make writing a crafty crime -- drummer's beats dancer's feets (poet license) guitar licks needle holes and pricks, Take 5 with threads sewn in the cabaret in the heat of the moment, coin tossed, flip-side of a record, hearts can easily, wrongly~ dizzily be played --

Poetic license yes, one can express as they want, and how they feel: i love your musical wordplay here as i play piano, when i was little played melodica, not many would know i think that cute instrument. And during teen years i played guitar, i really wanted to learn violin, but was too hard: your poem, is not just one with excellent metaphors but it conveys so much. Sometimes hearts can be played with wrongly, easily, i know i have been so many times: and still am learning: sending you light

Hi IE; not the only, but music is a voice of the heart...soul. After 10 thousand times, I play the best Mary Had A Little Lamb I ever heard on the violin. With the right person, even if only an affectionate night -- not promoting promiscuity! -- we are all Bogarts and Bacalls -- the heart a forever mystery.

Hello Joe, I fell in love with Jazz many years ago when I attended the University of Miami in Florida. I was a music major and the UofM is one of the largest Jazz schools in the nation. I so enjoyed reading your poem this morning. Now I have to pull out my Jazz Guitar that I bought in 1977, a Gibson ES-335. Blessings, My Friend, Daniel

Hi Daniel...I know, it is addicting. I have 3 sets of drums, but who can play more than one!? Old school, I am a fan of Krupa and Rich, loving their styles of music. Love all instruments though, have 2 two hundred year old violins, which I play very poorly, but keep trying. Blessings my friend. I sing, wife taught music and art, she plays piano and I howl like a coyote. Blessings my friend.

like poet's words, whether free or rhyme, can make writing a crafty crime -- We poets are always expected to behave in a certain way, by some... Your poem is through provoking as always..

Yep, we Gods of literature, are also flawly human. I don't have enough pencil and paper to list my transgressions. Nor do I really care to remember...ouch! Very painful. I forgive all who have injured me...and pray that I someday may be forgiven. Thank you, Si.

Been playing drums for 65 years...so, have seen both sides. In many semi-riotous things I am not for complete abstinence, but sane moderation keeps it enjoyment. Thank you, Joe. Have a great day my friend!
