Japanese Bridge
Cherry, purple, and red
Parade across the canvas.
As random colors spiral.
Rough dark outlines of thick paint,
Paints the arching bridge.
The change of brushstrokes,
Makes it visible to see.
Light strokes paint the water,
And the willow tree.
The bold strands of color,
Paint the image from his fading sight,
Of his beautiful garden.
A muse so often painted,
Detailing the stages of his vision.
Of his garden in Giverny.
