JANUARY THAW the freeze is over gods given up hot cocoa all nature’s things weep the freeze has ended sun struck branches are dripping nut hunt thaw is on the freeze has ended temperature 33 icicles crying the freeze has ended and foolish thoughts turn to spring winter gods chuckle

Oops, missed this one, Daver! "Icicles crying" the ones at our neighbour's house looked very happy for a terribly long while. I'll be happy when winter is finally over, but Winter is being very tenacious. I went to see my specalist today...I'll write and tell you about the visit.:) Love you, Mikki

Yes, we do get excited by this deception; happens every year and I'm a sucker every time. When will I learn that winter isn't gone till well into April. Makes me sad Dave, how do you do it? Love, Lizzie

Daver, I love the way you describe the winter gods chuckling and the line about God giving up hot cocoa. At 33 degrees, Ma Nature surely has more snow in store for you. Now how can I find that "nut hunt"? I found one living in Ormond Beach. Funny poem! LOL Love, Carolyn
