Jacqueline,
Oh, just the other day I came across a picture of you with your horse,
and I was amazed to see how much we looked alike;
Mom, could it be true that you are mere words upon cold stone,
my quiet, beautiful and kind Jacqueline . . .
It is unbelievable you left this world on Mother's Day,
now, entangled, meshed, intertwined are our souls for eternity;
the meaning of love and so much more is what you left with me,
and I am so proud to be the daughter of one such as you.
Mommy, not a day will go by that you are not in my heart,
especially each Mother's Day, but every single moment each day;
and each time I ride my horse you are with me riding along side
the wind in our hair and open meadows welcoming us . . .
