Jacob - Israel's - Ladder

Angels ascend
winging their way up the ladder

    At the top, the Almighty

Jacob - at the bottom - stands on two feet
His mind in the heavens, seeking the Godhead to meet

Wonderful! He had to wrestle God before he could stand on his two feet.

I can imagine Jacob’s dream left an indelible memory in his mind. I have had a few dreams that have stayed with me over 50 years. I have always loved that story of Jacob’s ladder as the ladder ascends through the clouds. I enjoyed your poem Gershon. Blessings xxoo

Great story Gershon. If Jacob were alive today he would be a firefighter. My attempt at bad humor... lol

Were Jacob a firefighter, he could slide down 'Is-rail.' (His rail). Groan, I guess, eh?! Thanks, Michael
