Jack's Lucky Day
“But mommy, I don’t want to go outside!
Why can’t I have this in here with you and everyone else?
I promise not to be bad anymore!
Please mommy, please!”
“No! You do as I say
or punishment will be served more than once!
Now, be off!”
So, the little boy went on his way
and found a nice quiet area
near the outside corner of his house.
Snatching that pie from the window sill
proved to be quite fruitful for him
as he had mistakenly shoved his thumb
right into the pie, but had pulled it out
only to see that he had an entire plum
and a whole pie for himself.
What a lucky boy!
