The 11th of August is a special day I’m sending good wishes Jack Ellison’s way For it’s his birthday, he’s eighty three He’s a great character I’m sure you agree He writes limericks sometimes rude Always funny but never crude Serious poems he writes too Jack just likes to entertain you He is an asset to this group The limerick king of Poetry Soup So Jack keep writing don’t go away Your fans on here want you to stay Drop in on his page and make his day And wish Jack Ellison a happy birthday.

Oh yes, Jack is an inspiring man loved by all, he is eighty-three and he is on a roll! Jack was born in Montreal the city I have spent 18 years. I have called him the Mozart of Limericks. He is very warm and kind man wish him to be around for the rest of the century! Happy Birthday, Jack! Great tribute my friend, Tom!
