Oh, lovely snowflakes, from billowy clouds, plump with expectation, you break free and come tip toeing lightly on tiny feet, gliding and dancing, through the air in crisp December. You travel through ether uncaged and free and drop down littering the earth’s expanse. you keep falling and collapsing one on another, and lie huddled as a white massive heap- sometimes landing thick as round balls sometimes as the light dusting of talcum, soft and pulverized. The earth wears your white mantle with pride. Those of you come first, get vanquished instantly. but when the real exodus begins, you accumulate and heap, inch by inch and foot by foot, becoming a formidable force, covering the earth in a thick white blanket. In day light, you wink like twinkling stars. at night what delight it is to watch you, gleaming in moonlight, with your white hair, grizzled into grey and ivory. Folded in your dazzling beauty, and enjoying the silent lullaby, the world wrapped in cold stillness, goes to sweet slumber.

"Folded in your dazzling beauty, and enjoying the silent lullaby, the world wrapped in cold stillness, goes to sweet slumber." Something very magical, silently beautiful watching late night snow fall -- one can feel sort of saintly transcended.

Dear Valsa, I thought how your words fall as gently as the snow they describe with each one a delicate crystal, unique and full of wonder. You’ve captured winter’s quiet magic and turned it into a lullaby for the soul. I love it when I read a peom and I become one with it. Beautifully done. Winter Blessings, MY Dear Friend, Daniel

Yes, we have experienced and are still experiencing the same weather now. It is beautiful but can bring disaster in our area since we are not prepared for it. Thanks for sharing this lovely work with us. Sara K

Dear Valsa, The ethereal beauty and transforming power of snowflakes as they descend from the sky and cover the land in the tranquil embrace of winter are the central themes of this exquisite poetry. It perfectly portrays the winter season, the fragility of snow, and the serene beauty it bestows upon the scenery. The poem describes the process of snowfall, including the emergence of snowflakes from clouds, their descent, and the impact they make on the environment. It makes one feel awestruck by the splendor of wintertime nature.

Nice snowy landscape scenario. Very realistic. It never snows in the land of poet, but artistic poetic muse brings the realty. Well done, Valsa ji.

Dear Valsa, your descriptive powers are wonderful. No snow here and we lack rain. But it is cold even at 18 degrees.
