FIRST PLACE

the snowflakes are falling
like ivory lace created by God
charming, creamy, soothing and precious
gathering on my windows and twinkling
dancing snow crystals icy
tumbling, frosty, fluttering in a sweet ballet
the sound a silvery melodious beat so quiet
(snow drifting in gleaming piles
swirling, whirling, frosty flurries
oh, divine the snow blanket)
pristine the ivory flakes falling in my world
feathery on my hair, cheeks and lips
oh, divine the frozen kiss
sublime are winters butterflies
