I'Ve Just Deleted My 'Potd'

There's something I have to say
   I've just deleted my 'Poem of the Day'

Titled 'Prayer of Separation'
   It was a complete abomination

It didn't deserve an award
   It deserved at best to be ignored

Of this poem I was totally ashamed
   Though I had no one but myself to blame

My lesson I hope I've learned
   And any condemnation ~ rightly earned

By choosing to press the delete key, you have demonstrated that any creator should have the last word in how they are perceived and remembered. John Lawless November 29, 2021 at 12:44 PM The poem you deleted, a limerick I think, had all the qualities of a limerick...bawdy and ribald implications. I believe it was chosen by the ever confused "algorithm" of PS because of its seemingly religious title. As for its deletion...YOUR POEM...YOUR CHOICE.... But I am sometimes surprised that a poem I think is not too bad, gets rapturous applause, whilst another that I feel is quite special, gets nigh on blanked. Maybe sometimes, we’re not our own best judges. Cheers.
