I'Ve Fought Against My Deepest Fears

I've fought against my deepest fears
and burned from silent dusk to dawn
my deepest fears did render me blind
how could I not call on The Divine?

I've fought against my deepest fears
and found great strength in humility
I glued my eyes to scenes past and present
that paved the way for me to repent.

I've fought against my deepest fears
and toiled until the job was done
it brought me to my knees one day
a beam of light was heading my way.

I've fought against my deepest fears
and passed a course on selfishness
it spoke as quietly as my recovery
it showed me I was powerless, being stuck on me.

The truth in this missive makes it so powerful! "it brought me to my knees one day a beam of light was heading my way. "
