It's Time For a Change

It’s time again to change, by hand, that ancient sign at FBC.* I volunteered twelve years ago to do this duty frequently. I’ve kept my word. The messages displayed are always apropos, but aging has affected me; I struggle reaching that top row. When temps are very low or high; sign changing’s an unpleasant chore. Numb fingers fumble awkwardly, and streams of sweat, I can’t ignore. A brand-new sign that’s digital is coming. Operating it will be done from a comfy seat INSIDE, and I won’t mind a bit. Although I sometimes shun the new, convenience I will not decline. Hail digital technology for saving me from that old sign! *The First Baptist Church where I’m a member. God's reward for a job joyfully done, Janice. I'm a FBCer too. Bill

I’m slow to adapt to change as well, but in this case, it sounds like it will make your life a lot easier. You’ve described this so well, Janice!
