Notes About The Poem

It's Raining Blue

Next time it rains, close your eyes
And smell the color blue
So fresh and clean, the life it brings
The aroma of brand new
While they're closed, listen to
The music of her mood
Baby blue for lullabies or heavy electric blues
At times she feels icy blue, others warm indigo
But when you're wrapped in her embrace
You feel like a vibrant rainbow
We always see her coming
Dressed in clouds dark grayish blue
And when she leaves, she takes her blue
And all the other hues.
