IT'S ABOUT TIME
I retired after all these years
I sure had a lot of tears
And I have to say a lot of fears
After I retired I became a writer
But I knew deep down
I had to be a provider still
Forty-years ago I bought my first house
With my long- time beautiful spouse
After some time we had children
And eventually had the grandchildren
A lot of people would say it's about time
For some reason, I thought was this a crime
I know our time is precious
And inside I know God has blessed us
So when people say it's about time
I tell them in the end God will give me a sign
And deep in my heart
I know everything will work out just fine
