It Was One of Those Mornings
A Morning to Forget
Came wide awake, feeling rested, so refreshed
took shower, drank coffee, even got dressed
noticed it was still dark, only two hours slept
with six hours left, back to bed I crept
An Unforgettable Morning
Sipping strong hot coffee, cool breeze on our skin
Sun broaches the horizon, a new day to begin
Kentucky bluegrass glistens, silver morning dew
front porch moments cherished, alone with you
