It Was a Good Morning Until
My morning coffee burnt my mouth,
And so I had to spit it out,
It landed on my upper arm,
I dropped my mug in the alarm,
It hit my toe, I raised my knee,
I lost my balance, tried to lean,
I grabbed a lamp that couldn’t hold,
And so I landed on the floor,
The shaking loosed the family pics,
From off the wall they fell and hit,
Sharply carving up my head,
I think I should have stayed in bed.
