Bev Doolittle’s camouflage art is phenomenal
O snowy head of rock
with crevices, the shock
of feathery heads, the hosts
of many a flight that’s been
traversed o’er crags. Boast
of a full-mounted headdress
plucked from eagle’s flesh,
on the crown of a Native American.
Feathers ride high and mighty,
many are they - the proof and sail
of Western winds and dusty trails
bestowed to the rugged chief.
The silent scream of eagles fly.
Chief’s brown and snowy pinto, proud.
The rider and his horse
nestled in the north face nest.
